Business is Booming

June 9, 2008 by luigijr

Its incredible how people change so quickly by this date most people have gotten their taxes and are back at it buying doodas that they will soon forget. Now that’s what makes this country so great. We are the number one consumers in the world.

But two short months ago people were complaining of having no money and by now they have now forgotten these statements.A couple of days ago i was watching tv on Comedy central and saw Carlos Mencia do his 30 min program and he was doing a set on USA. How people here didn’t know what it meant to be poor and he was tired of whiners and complainers, because “Americans don’t know what it is to be poor” and he went onto different examples of poverty in the USA and in other countries. which were not political correct and if you really want to know what they were you can watch the replay or on the website.

And two or three weeks ago i was thinking the same thing as i met with different team members we were talking how abundant the United states was. Now most of the people from this group were from Cuba in which because of the the government there are a lot of limitations for the people that live in that country.

The first one being freedom of speech, all your calls are recorded and monitored for the best interest of the government, you cant buy things with the money that you work for which they call “chavitos” which is 25 chavitos for one dollar, and an average persons salary is $13 per month and you must change them into dollars to purchase things like food clothing and if you are a Cuban you don’t have access to go into the tourist parts of the country. and i could provably keep on writing for the next two hours with more examples like these but you get the point and the Idea.

Here in the states there is an abundance of everything from power to water and obviously food, why? because this is one of the richest countries in the world, because its people always find ways to do things a better way, we constantly come out with new widgets and gadgets that make our life a lot easier and its backed up by the capitalist mentality that every single day comes out with new products and services that change history forever and we as consumers always want the better fastest ways to solve our problems, and for us we have a lot of problem.

I don’t know what it is to be poor thank god my parents always had a good position. i do know however what it is to have bad luck, i have lived in this great country for over 14 years and it has had its ups and downs. i am very grateful of all the experiences i have had and there is nothing i regret i don’t miss the tough times but they are the ones that make me who i am today and i wouldn’t be who i am today But most people are too busy to live their own life.

I was listening to a Joel Osteen and he said that the most knowledgeable place in the world was the cementary and its so true in some of those tombstones it should say “here lies john doe he was born he lived and no one ever knew for what”

Most people are different but its so weird to see how people are really the same we have certain characteristics that makes us the same and i am not talking about being human but certain behaviours and attitudes, so you say wait wait that doesn’t make sense at all that’s a total oxymoron. I am going to do my own mencia moment here ” Ok Ok I don’t care where you are from. EVERYONE gets motivated by two things and two things only to obtain pleasure and to avoid pain. nothing else will move a person as a matter of fact think back to the last time you did something why did you do it? and i can give you over a million examples of this but here are a few:

Fat people are fat cause it hurts to work out. fat people eat cake cause it feels good.

Healthy people work out cause it feels good. healthy people don’t eat junk food cause it hurts too much to do the extra work out.

and these are very basic examples but i want you to think of your own examples”

Again thank you for your time and i will see you in my next post

Best regards

Thoughts about this week

March 24, 2008 by luigijr

Dear Friend,

Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to read my blog. I have been meditating about  different things this past week and have come to realize that we humans are very simple beings. We all have dreams, hopes, wishes and goals but we also have problems, fear and doubts.

As i was talking to one of my team members this came to mind. No matter how successful or unsuccessful you are people will always talk about you. In the end there is nothing you can do to stop this from happening. We are self conscious in many ways, which is not a bad thing, but it is a bad thing when you let it consume you all day everyday.

One thing that we all have is time, it kills me when i see people that always say “I don’t have Time”. which is one of the biggest lies of them all. What we don’t have is good time management skills and that’s something  many many people can use.  What i want to do is share with you a short paragraph from one of the most respected authorities in leadership that are alive today his name is Mr John C Maxwell.

“Look at your day and see how your time is spent each and everyday, what bad habits have you picked up through the years? that you can easily break that are eating away your precious time everyday?

what sort of Impact can a few minutes per day have:

What if you could save….

  • 5 minutes to get ready in the morning (less time to dress,  to shave, put make up on, read the paper, drink coffee, etc)
  • 10 minutes by eliminating what you do to avoid going to school or work
  • 5 minutes by avoiding people that talk to much (chit-chat) or other distractions
  • 10 minutes by taking a shorter lunch or break time

These minutes don’t seem like much but if you did all these for five days a week 50 weeks out of the year. you would gain 125 hours per year which is about the same as 3 weeks of 40 hours to do whatever you wanted to do. Oh and if you love to watch TV you can double your time by watching 30 minutes less of TV per day.”

Now you know this and you can share it with your friends and loved ones and help them get out of this limiting belief.

I wish someone had shared with me this 4 years ago so don’t keep this a secret. after reading this made me realize that I think we would do much better if we had an hourglass that followed us around all the time and more people realized that their time here is limited and  time is one commodity you cant afford to loose in the end the decision has to come from your heart.

Many people think that a tragedy or a break down has to happen in order for them to make a change. which is not true and the sooner you realize this the sooner you can make a change. Now the decision is yours? is that change going to be  for better or worst?

Best Regards,
